Sweet Sleep & Jesus Loves Me

Today was my official breakdown day. It started off with trying to get all three kids out of the house to run a few needed stops. Then while I was finishing paper work at the church office they went crazy. There have been few moments in my mothering life that I have been embarrassed but today was the day. It was humiliating the way they were behaving and my lack of control with the situation. I have never seen the kids like this... granted they are in a lot of transition right now. Well the lovely office visit ended with Havilah biting me in the leg!! Wow. I lost it emotionally. My little girl bit me.
Now, 12 hours later I feel that God has been answering my prayers for peace and a sound mind. I know the prayers of all of my friends and family were heard. I am still looking forward to Friday when we see Kevin again!!!!!!!!!
It is almost bed time and the day has turned around. God has given me renewed strength to continue. I played with the kids, fed the kids, watched and listened as they showed me their creations and listened as my dear little biter sang Jesus Loves Me all night long. I watched as we were reading books and Owen left his reading to comfort Liam by putting his binkie in and it does not get much better than that.
As for the little guy...well he has been getting pretty spoiled being here and sleeping with me. He has gotten to the point where he would not put himself to sleep. Well I got the brilliant(but not doctor approved) idea to give him a stuffed animal to cuddle with. The horse did the trick. I told Kevin on the phone that we may have to buy them in bulk so we never run out. He fell right asleep. Check out the pics. Being a mom is hard. Being a Christ-like mom is even harder. I love my kids.
